We paint eggs for Easter

It was always on the Bright Sunday that it was customary to start a festive meal with eggs, usually painted in red, a symbol of Christ's blood shed for all of us.

Now there are many ways of painting eggs and decorating them. Eggs, painted in one color, are called krashenkami. If in the main color of the eggs there are interspersings of a different color in the form of strips, spots, specks - these are snaps. Still there are pysanki - eggs, hand-painted with ornaments or plot patterns.

In broth of onion peel

Prepare the onion broth

  • Pour a clean onion husk with water and leave for a few hours (you can overnight).
  • In the morning bring to a boil and boil 10-15.
  • To cool to room temperature, and before coloring add salt at the rate: 1 spoon of salt per 1 liter of broth (this will protect the eggs from cracking).

Prepare eggs

  • They must be necessarily room temperature.
  • If necessary, clean them from dirt and degrease by washing thoroughly under warm running water with laundry soap and a sponge.
Prepare squares of gauze or pure elastic thin tights, thread or office elastic - to tie knots with workpieces.

The process of painting blanks

  • We put the eggs with the decor in a decoction of room temperature, immersing the blanks entirely in the husks.
  • Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to medium, boil for 10 minutes.
  • After turning off the fire, leave the eggs in the husks for another 15 minutes.
  • Get them out of the broth and immerse in cold water - so they will be well cleaned from the shell.
  • Cooled blanks to release from knots and what they were decorated.
  • When the eggs dry, grease them with vegetable oil, giving an even more elegant and presentable appearance.

Methods of drawing patterns and drawings

  • Croups: rice, millet, buckwheat, peas. Wet the wet egg in a croup and wrap it in gauzes cut into squares or clean stockings-tights, tighten and tighten with a thread.
  • Vegetable "gifts": parsley, coriander, dill, twigs of thuja, flowers of violets, geranium, grass, leaves of different plants (that is at hand - everything is good). Dampen the egg and arrange the plant motif on it, carefully level it and smooth it (smooth side without veins to the egg). Turn into gauze or stocking, carefully straightening the details of plants, tightly twist and tie a thread.
  • Stationery elastic bands. Wrap the rubber egg 3-4 times - get a striped pattern, wrap it in a knot.
  • Silhouettes from parchment paper: fish, birds and other ornament. Cut paper silhouettes from parchment and paste on a wet egg, wrap like other blanks.

Patina gold foil

  • Dye eggs in the usual way.
  • Pour gelatin with hot water for a few minutes.
  • Cooked eggs are washed from the husks in cool water.
  • Wearing a disposable glove, drip some gelatin into your hand and grease the gelatine with a hot egg (carefully dry before it). The matte side of the foil wraps the egg and rubs it carefully with a spoon over the egg in the foil - it becomes gilded (as if with a gold patina). The more intense walk through the foil on all sides, the better the gold pattern will look.

Onion husks with subsequent drawing

Painting the eggs with onion husks in the usual way, you can decorate them with any pattern (which is enough fantasy and artistic abilities).

Hydrogen peroxide

  • Mix a little 3% of hydrogen peroxide with a conventional baking soda in a scoop - they will act as an "eraser", removing unnecessary eggs on dyed eggs.
  • With a simple pencil, draw the outline of the desired image.
  • With a cotton swab dipped in this solution, wipe off the excess, starting with the outline of the pattern - so the "silhouette" pattern is highlighted.

In a solution of "zelenki" with the effect of "marble chips"

  • Clean the onion husks to chop (but not into dust) with scissors.
  • Dip the egg in cold water, then in the crumb of onion husk - it is good to roll in it.
  • Put on a piece of gauze, tighten and tie with a thread, clerical rubber band or tie just a bundle.
  • Put the billets in a saucepan with clean water, bring to a boil and cook the eggs for 5 minutes, then add a "brilliant green" vial (for 5 eggs) to the pan and let it simmer for another 10 minutes.
  • Put the pan under cold water, remove the "nodules", releasing the eggs from the husks.
  • Dry eggs to grease for shine with vegetable oil.

In a solution of potassium permanganate with the effect of "marble chips"

Repeat the process as in the previous case, but instead of "brilliant green" take potassium permanganate in powder (half a teaspoon), and if you want a bright crimson color - a whole tube.
Attention: do not forget to wear disposable gloves when using zelenok and manganese.

Decoupage with napkins

For the technique of using a three-layer paper napkins. Their upper layer with a drawing will go to work. It is better to take images on a white background - so on a white egg the napkin is invisible. The glue is a protein from a chicken egg.
  • Eggs thoroughly cleaned, cleaned all seals.
  • Cook eggs in the usual way.
  • Doing work pieces from paper napkins: small images.
  • Break the egg and stir the squirrel in a separate bowl - it will play the role of glue.
  • Stick on the details of the pattern, lubricating the protein with a small brush and passing the "glue" on top of the pasted patterns.

Krashenki without chemistry

Easter eggs can be stained with any products with pronounced pigmentation: tea, cocoa, coffee, karkade, turmeric, spinach, beet, cherry, saffron, black currant and other natural dyes.
  • For coloring make a decoction of the selected product (if necessary, chopping, chopping and chopping it), boil for 10-15 minutes over low heat.
  • Add a couple of spoons of table vinegar to the broth (so that the dye lies more securely).
  • Eggs should be degreased with vodka or alcohol for more reliable staining, and boil in the usual way.
  • Dip in the broth for a period of two to 24 hours (better to clean in the refrigerator).
  • For two hours of coloring, you can achieve pastel delicate shades, and for the day the color will be beautiful and intense. The broth can be filtered, then the color will be even, or you can not do it - then the eggs will have a pronounced textured pattern with a marbling effect.
